Wandering through Brussels galleries + Geox

Yesterday I went to Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp in one day. I'm almost starting to feel like a traveler! And then there's school work. Hmpf. Anyway I went to Brussels yesterday to check out the Geox event and do some shopping. My sister was my sidekick this time. Perfect occasion for some outfit pictures?

Trying out a pair of shoes at the Geox store. The lovely pair pictured underneath became the chosen ones. They were so so beautiful, but unfortunately also so so high. There was no platform at the front of the shoe so, and my feet aren't trained to walk on their tip whole the time. And although they were actually quit comfortable, I decided to let them in store. So long, dearest!

Opéra à Bruxelles

Bonjour !

Last week I went to the opera for the first time, in De Munt in Brussels! It was a trip arranged by my student union, and I just couldn't refuse the offer. Besides the exciting going-to-the-opera-for-the-first-time-part, there were some more convincing details. The play was Pelléas et Melisande, written by Belgian nobel prize winner Maurice Maeterlinck (who also wrote l'Oiseau bleu). The music was composed by Claude Debussy, and Anish Kapoor designed the scenery. If you are a little into cultural history, you sure will recognize these grandmasters!

It surely was quite an experience, all very impressive. But I'm not sure what to think about the play itself yet. The interior of De Munt was astonishing, I didn't expect that at all after it's rather disappointing exterior. Of course I didn't take my camera with me, I guess I'm not as confident as the average blogger. 

Back home it was kinda late, and I didn't want to disturb my neighbour with the sound of my camera, so it's just these crappy webcam pics. It's something! Unlike last time, I had the chance to pick an outfit in advance back home. I choose for this gorgeous H&M dress, together with a bright red lacquered belt, green pumps, and a pair of chic golden earrings, from the time my mum was young.

Brussels - L'Oréal Paris Professionnel

Brussels - L'Oréal Paris Professionnel - Journey 

Hello everybody! Siel and I went to the "L'Oreal Paris Professionnel" event! It's was amazing and here are some pictures from our journey to the event in our capital Brussels. We went there by train, but we were brought back by taxi. What a service, don't you agree! Though it was quite late when we arrived home, but it was definitely worth it! The show was truly amazing and spending time with Siel is of course even better! Now I apparently have a sore esophagus and you know what, it actually hurts quiet a lot, but it has moments I don't feel it at all. Yesterday evening it really bothered me a lot, but this morning I only felt a little sick. Apparently it's because I have too much acids in my stomach, so lets get rid of it! Enjoy the pictures and we hoop you had a nice weekend too.

Brussels' Christmas lights

The day after Christmas I went to Brussels's Christmas market with friend Lynn. It's definitely the best Christmas market I've ever been to. (I haven't been to many of those actually) We took the train, and about an hour later, we arrived in our capital. We followed the crowd and entered this lovely market. It surprised me that it was some sort of a light show too, a bit like Ghent's festival of lights last year. But unlike the others days lately, the weather was quit ok. It only started raining when we were almost going home. So summarized, it was a good day (evening)!

The most awesome carrousel I've ever seen !

This was so weird! It's a Christmas tree, producing fake snow on top. That snow is captured at the bottom in some sort of an umbrella (upside down), and I guess it's then recycled to the top again.
