Marble rainbow cupcakes

Last week I went to a friend for a good old girlsnight. Ahh don't you love girlsnights/sleepovers?
We decided to make cupcakes. And because there were several decoration options to play with, we choose to make rainbow cupcakes!

Mixing the dough and adding some chocolate chips.

They turned out looking moldy. I loved it haha. Great idea for a theme party or something! Oh and if you use red pigment they will look like meatloaf, pretty gross too haha!

Tadaa, the result!

Lynn made a "Siel" for me and I made an "L" for her.
Enjoyed together with a bottle of Martini Rosato, a romantic movie and a bag of chips for later. Yum!

Marble rainbow!
And the very best thing, they tasted heavenly.

Chocolate chip cookie dough topped with banana cream

Today I went to Julie's House with my university buddies. Julie's House is a self called cupcake store in Ghent, that serves the best pies in my opinion! Every time I come there I think about dragging Ruby to see this place, she would totally love it! Though there might be a risk of losing her for ever, she might get overly attached to this tea time loving place.

It was hard to choose between the Apple brown sugar cake and Chocolate banana pie, but as you can see, I opted for the last one. And though it weirdly looks as yellow as curie, it tasted deliciously like banana! With a hint of chocolate. Mmmmmmmmmmmm
For a drink I choose the Sweet Love tea by Kusmi, also highly recommended. Certainly if you fell miserable whole week like me, after suffering of a bad cold!

Oh and I went to the hair dresser the day before! Nothing special, just cutting the dead ends and layering a little bit. The main reason why it looks so different is because it's almost a middle parting and it's very straight. But it won't last. As soon as I wash it, it will be normal again, like three post below. I kinda liked this, but I don't mind having my own more curly/nonchalant hair style again!

Tomorrow will be a busy day, filled with music school activities and hopefully some redying my hair!
See you seen!

Christmas mood

Still in the mood for Christmas holidays? Despite my finals, I am!
Yesterday I went to the Christmas Market of our capital Brussels, and it there was a truly amazing atmosphere. It's definitely the best xmas market I've ever been to.

But here are my pics from the beginning of this week. Starting with Christmas Eve, which I celebrated with my father's side of the family!

I painted a snowman for my uncle ! :D
One of my presents, perfect for my home in Ghent!

Christmas day itself was a lazy day. We celebrated it at home, together with my aunt.

This last pic is one of the candle lights my mum and sister made. It's a very easy DIY!
Just take some paper lace doilies and spray some fake snow on it. Be careful though, don't wipe it out.

Now there's just one more thing left to say,

Happy Holidays to you !

Les mille feuilles

Valentine is coming and I'm wondering how to eat this millefeuille properly.
Bonne appétit!

Clumsy appeared to be my way.

Cookies

A few days ago a friend of ours organised a high tea. I hadn't got the time to bake something, so I went decorating cookies (like I did for the tombstones for Halloween). Without a plan, just drawing anything that came to my head. And this is the result.

I had a nice time seeing my 'old' friends again :)
