Randomized birthday week

A moment ago I was enjoying the last of my seafood chocolates, my favourite type of pralines!
(Sorry for making you hungry.)

I've got them for my 21st birthday last Sunday, from my sweet boyfriend.

Unfortunately it resulted way too soon in this. Sad face.

Another birthday gift was a polaroid camera! I have to thank my friends this time for this truly awesome gift. First selfie: Check.

On Monday I went buying some presents for some others, and I stumbled on a large blanket scarfThat's my word for a huge scarf, it has similarities with a blanket in my opinion. I found this one at the Pieces store, and on sale!

Just love this colour combination. Difference in colours, patterns and texture, and still a neutral entity.

The series I'm watching at the moment. Unfortunately the dvd-drive of my laptop isn't responding anymore, so I have to get that fixed first. Hopefully it won't be too expensive. Sad face again.

Making a still life for school. Kinda surrealistic.

And this is my interpretation of the still life. Still working on it. And just for the record, it was a different plate and bowl in the lower version!

Bloopers - park series 3

Last time we did a photoshoot, Ruby made an awesome blooper post about it afterwards. I really enjoyed it actually, I hope you did too. That's why I decided to do it again, a blooper post! Maybe we can make it to a regular thing? Anyway, enjoy the pics and get a behind-the-scenes feeling. :)

Copacobana outfit Ruby day 1

Here is Ruby's cute festival outfit. I especially think it's adorable how small she looks in these pics! ^^ And don't you just looove her awesome hat? Nobody looks as good with hats as Ruby does!
It was still the same grey and rainy day but we were ready for it, like true adventurers. Sometimes you just got to go, otherwise you'll miss all the fun!

And here a pic on the festival itself, the day after:
Thanks for the pic, Alexey!
We made some international friends that evening, really cool! Despite the fact that we always talk in English on our blog, it was kinda weird to constantly talk to each other in English. It was actually harder than I thought it would be! Anyway, it was a fun night, and I didn't mind missing the bus and walking home for about 45 minutes.. Give me a cherry beer, and I'm a happy girl !

Copacobana outfit Siel day 1

Ruby and I went to the festival Copacabana in Ghent the last weekend of June. Unfortunately it was raining the whole day, but that didn't ruin the atmosphere. On the contrary, a smaller amount of people grouped together in front of the stage and danced and danced and danced until the morning light! Or at least until our last bus towards home arrived.
In my eyes, the best thing about this festival is that we can sleep in my dorm room in Ghent. No uncomfortable camping, but all the benefits of a real house. In other words, the possibility to properly prepare nice festival outfits and make-up, yay! But I do have to make one little confession, I was wearing an absolutely necessary rain coat on top of this. Otherwise I would have been cold to the bone in just a few hours.

Sneak peek: Celebrating the start of summer

I'm a bit behind with blogposts, sorry about that! Yours truly hasn't been home very often lately.
These pictures are from the last weekend of June. Ruby came two days to Ghent with me for the festival Copacobana. (Click here for last year's pics) We had the best time celebrating the start of summer vacation! More about that later, but here is a little sneak peek al ready. We prepared some photo shooting in my dorm room, and later I took Ruby and Katrijn to Julie's House, my 1 2 3rd time al ready! Love that place, and I'm sure Ruby also loves it now!

Look what my sweet boyfriend made for me! My name carved in wood, so awesome! He had been working on and hiding it for a whole month. I'm still impressed!

And here is the real sneak peek of the photoshoot. Stay tuned!

June

June, probably my least favourite period of the year.
There wasn't much going on this month. Or in other words, there was a lot going on this month but I had to skip it because of exams. -Yeah, yeah, I'll stop complaining about them!- But I'm afraid I can't show you very exiting things now. However I can show you a little impression of my month! Most days felt the same, so it were the little things that made it more special. Have a look!

Painting my nails with the nail polish Ruby gave me for my birthday. I have to admit that I secretly had doubts about it in the beginning, but that's gone now! I love this colour! Thanks Ru!

And then of course this happens...
I am seriously thinking about buying OPI Drip Dry now! Any experience?

Trying out my new sandals (brand called Inuovo, by Vollenberg)
Still doubting about removing the chains, their tinkling sound drives me crazy!

Trying out a middle parting (middenstreep) again. It does look quite okay, doesn't it?

Lunch! And man it was delicious! Yum, just looking at it makes me hungry again!

Heard a lot good things about this guy, I'm curious to find out!
White powder that turns transparent to set your foundation. A cheap knock off of Mac prep+prime.
Got a visitor this day. It's only the third time this year (and first time to capture!) that a bird came this close to my window, so yeah I was pretty excited. :)

Going out for diner with friends, spaghetti chez Katrijn! Great to wear heels again, it can give a confidence boost! Despite the state of these shoes I barely wear heels actually. (shoes New Look, old)

Time to go to bed! I love how cosy this looks when I turn off the main light and turn on my night light.
Don't you wanna crawl there in and stay for good? I do!
Nighty night!

By the way, there will be a new outfit post soon! :)
