All white

Although the pictures may say the opposite, I'm getting really excited over here! And I've got so my reasons: just one more resit to go, in less than four days I'll be about 4000 kilometres further with my feet in the Atlantic ocean and my Nike ID's will arrive today! After Friday, I can finally enjoy the last weeks of summer without any obligations. No resits, no need for studying, no summer job, hoozay!

About the outfit, it's my first try on an all white look! Well technically not 'all' white, but you got the message. I like the result, but to be honest, it didn't really feel like me. An all white look creates such a clean, perfect image. Personally I like things to be a bit more casual and nonchalant. So I guess it'll be an all black look next time? Anyway, I'm too excited because of the reasons above to be bothered.
Toodles, darlings!

Edit: Today turned out even better than it was! I finally found the perfect black booties that I was looking for so long, the sweet cassière gave me a compliment about my red lipstick, I discovered an awesome cheap design store in my neighborhood and my Nike's have arrived! There was a big smile on my face during the whole way home haha! :D Oh snap, it's even still there!

Summer sales shoplog

At last, another blogpost!

After two months of blogging silence I suddenly felt the urge to take pictures and make new posts. It was the longest pause there ever was on the four years old existence of Two Wonder Girls. I didn't plan to stop blogging, but it just sort of happened. Anyway, I'm back in blogging business now and ready to show you a shoplog of the past weeks!

& Other Stories

H&M

Urban Outfitters

Apparently a lot whites lately!

Sally Hansen - Resurrection
MAC - Matte Sin

Catrice - Don't touch my mosserati
2X OPI shatter nail polish

H&M

Apart from the eyeshadow and MAC lipstick these are all sales. The first dress will be shown in an outfit post soon, it's absolutely stunning! Further I found some great deals at our local Action. OPI nail polishes for about 3 euros and Sally Hansen for only 1 euro, insane! I also bought a 3-pack of Christmas ear studs for only one euro at H&M. It isn't really the right season, but I fell for the cute and chic snow flakes. Aren't they adorable?

In the end I think I can declare July as a successful sales period for me. I didn't bought very much nor very little and often with great bargains! Did you go sales shopping and had any luck? Do tell me!

The power of NEON

All hail to the power of neon!

I love a neon touch in a basic outfit. Especially when there are neutral colours involved like here.
"Aren't you a little bit too late?", you might think. As this neon trend is almost over. Well, I love trends, but I love it even more to apply them in my own style. What to do with that shoulder padded jacket and those coloured tights from a couple years ago, wear them of course !

I was planning to wear a basic outfit too, but I couldn't find my black V-neck shirt, so my striped shirt had to do the trick. Dark blue, white, jeans, still quite basic I'd think. So mission accomplished!

My dad took my camera with him on vacation and lost the lens cap over there. Once home again, he immediately went to a photography store to buy a new one. Only this time he bought one with a cord.
I still don't know what to think about it. Look at it. Barely any difference with the pendulum of a cuckoo-clock. But I guess it will no longer get lost..

June

June, probably my least favourite period of the year.
There wasn't much going on this month. Or in other words, there was a lot going on this month but I had to skip it because of exams. -Yeah, yeah, I'll stop complaining about them!- But I'm afraid I can't show you very exiting things now. However I can show you a little impression of my month! Most days felt the same, so it were the little things that made it more special. Have a look!

Painting my nails with the nail polish Ruby gave me for my birthday. I have to admit that I secretly had doubts about it in the beginning, but that's gone now! I love this colour! Thanks Ru!

And then of course this happens...
I am seriously thinking about buying OPI Drip Dry now! Any experience?

Trying out my new sandals (brand called Inuovo, by Vollenberg)
Still doubting about removing the chains, their tinkling sound drives me crazy!

Trying out a middle parting (middenstreep) again. It does look quite okay, doesn't it?

Lunch! And man it was delicious! Yum, just looking at it makes me hungry again!

Heard a lot good things about this guy, I'm curious to find out!
White powder that turns transparent to set your foundation. A cheap knock off of Mac prep+prime.
Got a visitor this day. It's only the third time this year (and first time to capture!) that a bird came this close to my window, so yeah I was pretty excited. :)

Going out for diner with friends, spaghetti chez Katrijn! Great to wear heels again, it can give a confidence boost! Despite the state of these shoes I barely wear heels actually. (shoes New Look, old)

Time to go to bed! I love how cosy this looks when I turn off the main light and turn on my night light.
Don't you wanna crawl there in and stay for good? I do!
Nighty night!

By the way, there will be a new outfit post soon! :)

The Land of Papers

Hi peepz!
I'm aware of the fact that it's quit silent around here lately. That's because I moved over to the Land of Papers for a while. Luckily this hell is almost over, tomorrow is my last day here! But then it's time to pack my stuff and fly to the Land of Studying. Can you imagine that I'm looking forward to that?! Maybe that makes clear how horrible this Land of Papers is.

Here are some impressions of last December:
Welcome back mister leo coat. Since summer I was so looking forward to wearing this sweety again. It's the most cuddliest thing ever ! And perfect for strolling on the fair on a cold winter evening, when some of our ex-classmates from high school visited us here in Ghent. Minus three persons, our class was almost complete again! It felt like a little reunion. Such a pity that Ruby wasn't there also!

ZARA coat (2011)

But what I will most remember of this month is:

Studying.

Reading.

Stress.

Writing.

Stress.

Deadlines.

Even more stress.
All those things have one advantage, just one. I'm becoming a pro in making things cozy! Every day the candles are burning (Gift tip for me! ;), blankets here and there and tea. Yes, I'm becoming a tea-drinker. Ruby will be surprised! But I'm still working on my tea skills, as you can see in the picture underneath.

I had a hard time choosing nail polish last week. They must be perfect for a concert I had the day after. On facebook some of you suggested the black one, but in the end I choose another one. The red/pink one became the chosen one. Because I was cold. And because it was a nice warm colour.
The concert went fine, and the other one yesterday also. One more to go now, Saturday!

Collistar, GOSH, Catrice, OPI

Last Friday it was raining cats & dogs. And since my umbrella broke down earlier, and my hat got lost, I had no defence for the rain. So I decided to wear my only hooded coat: mister leopard.
As you can see in the picture, not a very smart idea. I kinda looked like a drowned cat.
But, my hair was still completely dry. Win!

Now I'm up for some Christmas shopping. Toodles !

Gold and orange

I saw the prettiest drop of resin, illuminated by sunshine. A good reason to take my camera again! Unfortunately the battery didn't agree with me, so I had to wait a few hours, and the sun had turned of course. But the camera was ready, and so was I, so I went over in photographer mood! (amateur-photographer-mood off course)

Also did my nails today. Gold and orange it is! Finally something more excited to add to my basic working uniform. Fashion can be in the little things!
And next wednesday Ruby and I are leaving for a small festival called Casablanca, I'm sooo looking forward to it!
