Sporty chic, winter pastels




Yup, definitely approved!

Earlier I spoke about how our dear old JBC is an underrated brand in Belgian fashion. While giving a look on their a/w'14 collection I have to agree again. Come on, sporty chic, winter pastels and a dose of glam, that's spot on!
Also I'm getting sort of an addiction of winter coats, there are so many pretty ones lately! The pink one above for instance! Luckily I can use a new coat, so I get all the fun of being on a coat quest hehe. ^^

New hair, don't care


I couldn't resist it. I had to find an excuse to show you my freshly cut hair coupe. It's not a big difference, just a bit shorter and it's a little bit layered again, but I like it very much! It feels like such a fabulous WAG's hair cut, always perfectly healthy and bouncy. Until I wash it probably...
Anyway, enough about the hair. Whatcha think of my new blouse? I couldn't resist it in the sales last month. Yet another white blouse. But in my excuse, the pattern is perfectly trendy and we do have to go with our time, don't we?

Summer sales shoplog


At last, another blogpost!

After two months of blogging silence I suddenly felt the urge to take pictures and make new posts. It was the longest pause there ever was on the four years old existence of Two Wonder Girls. I didn't plan to stop blogging, but it just sort of happened. Anyway, I'm back in blogging business now and ready to show you a shoplog of the past weeks!

Apart from the eyeshadow and MAC lipstick these are all sales. The first dress will be shown in an outfit post soon, it's absolutely stunning! Further I found some great deals at our local Action. OPI nail polishes for about 3 euros and Sally Hansen for only 1 euro, insane! I also bought a 3-pack of Christmas ear studs for only one euro at H&M. It isn't really the right season, but I fell for the cute and chic snow flakes. Aren't they adorable?

In the end I think I can declare July as a successful sales period for me. I didn't bought very much nor very little and often with great bargains! Did you go sales shopping and had any luck? Do tell me!

Editorial love


If there was one thing particular that could make me happy (see, I'm not a difficult person!), it would be changing those great online magazines into paper versions on my doormat. For example The Edit, Net-a-porter's magazine. The latest issue contains Sarah Jessica Parker in the most amazing romantic looks. I'm drooling again.

I was always the mix and match type, especially on combining colours. But lately I'm more and more into outfits of the same colour scheme. And by that I mean something like all nude outfits, all pastels, all darks (for example combining marine blue and black). Stepping away from bright colours doesn't sound like a bad idea! This was probably a predictable trend after the colour blocking hype from a while ago, but my diversity loving fashion mind adores it!

Nymphs and godesses, Dolce and Gabbana I

Spring 2014 ready-to-wear Dolce and Gabbana


The last few years I'm getting more and more into Dolce and Gabbana. I'm attracted by their feminine sensuality. Their ability to make a woman sexy without making it vulgar, while still getting a very glamorous result. Don't get me wrong, I also love rather minimalistic silhouettes, but sometimes a good dose of glamorous gets me drooling. 
I'll show you why, by my favourites of their latest collections, starting backwards chronological with the Spring 2014 collection.


This collection was very enchanting. A very playful and light way to view spring. Despite the chunky added flowers, the collection still looks flowy and light. With a magical atmosphere, in which the models are replaced by nymphs. Reminder for springtime: Try on some lilac eyeshadow, combined with tons of highliter and a sweet pink blush.
The collection contains three recurring themes. The first one I just described, an ancient Greece/Rome inspired part and one with a lot gold and embellishment.
And I know the pictures aren't that large (you can always click on them to enlarge), but a tip for viewing a collection of Dolce & Gabbana is to pay attention to the details. Check how amazing they are!

Fall 2013 ready-to-wear Dolce and Gabbana


This collection of Dolce & Gabbana must be my favourite ever! Is there anything not to love about it? It contains amazing make up, history, gemstones, shoes and last but not least, clothes!


Fall 2013, it ain't gonna be more accurate! This season's collection has a large dose of glamour, with some royal influences. Or rather a lot royal influences. It starts with highlighting one of the greatest ancient cultures, that once had an important role in Italy: the Byzantine empire. On the clothing we see a literal translation of the famous Byzantic mosaics, guided by a numerous gemstones. Add a gold background colour, some majestic dresses and you become an instant godess.
Secondly there is a way more modest part, containing mainly greys and black. The silhouettes and fabric are in the middle of attention here. I think it is about the Italian woman, showing her typical class and style. 
In the end we go back to the Byzantic glamour, but one a more femme fatale way. The patterns and gems remain, but all translated in red dresses this time. Together with crowns and fierce make up, they're creating true queens.
Coming to the make up, this is also a big reason why I love this collection so much! The models have dark red lips, a trend where I've completely fallen for since last year. Finishing of with a simple eyeliner, a healthy sleek dark haircut and saying goodbye to bushy brows, this makes a perfect look.

Oh and just one thing, look a those shoes. They've got caged heels, surrounded by roses. CAGED HEELS SURROUNDED BY ROSES!

Silver linings

Another thing that shows up lately, metallic silver shoes! Don't think trashy, but classy please. It started a while ago with silver pumps, but it's the sandal version that has caught my eye. Yes, I am absolutely certain to score a pair of those, after my mission failed last year (see pic above). Those silver shoes are a great way to brighten up an outfit in a rather minimalistic way. It's striking, but not too much.

I'm not sure that this trend will break through beyond high fashion borders, but I don't really mind. I guess it's my inner hipster that likes originality staying original, instead of becoming mainstream.

Tropical powers

H&M for Water 2012


Have you noticed those tropical prints emerging everywhere? I think it sort of started with last year's H&M for water collection, (and remember Versace for H&M?) but now it's definitely making a break through. And I don't mind it at all! Last year I was unfortunately too late to grab such awesome H&M for water shirt, but now I'm getting a second chance. Some people will say that you'll look like an American tourist with an Hawaiian shirt, but I think we should give it a chance. Those busy tropical prints look great with white or jeans and perhaps even a straw hat? Or more exiting combinations will do too.

Sunglasses overload

Hi there!
Need a new pair of sunnies? Keep on reading, you will definitely find a pair here! Today I'm gonna show you the trends in sunglasses (in my humble opinion of course). With a little bit visual help of sunglasses queen Denni and some other favourite bloggers like Betty, Hanneli, Karla, Alix, Chriselle and Andy. Enjoy!

Absolutely my favourite pair of glasses. Ad a scarf and you're totally ready for a ride in a cabrio! Unfortunately this type of glasses is rather difficult. I've tried like a zillion cat-eye sunglasses and none of them looked well on me. :( But if you have a more round shaped head it should look perfect on you

Buzzzzzzzzzzz, insect alarm !
 I admit, it frightened me a bit. But think about what Jean Paul Gaultier said:
In fashion there is no question 'Why?', there is only 'Why not?'.
That is certainly my favourite fashion quote, I should write it on my closet for every time I doubt about my outfit. Now back to the glasses. Denni from The Chicmuse started with these huge insect-eyes glasses from Tom Ford, and she combined them very chic with black and gold. If this is a bit too much for you, there are several more basic versions.
And a little tip: don't try this if you have a small, round shaped head, you will definitely look like a fly.

Steampunk !
I know it's actually more vintage and flee market style but it reminds me of steampunk, and steampunk gothics are awesome, so I call this trend Steampunk. Characterized by fine metal details, the colour brown and perhaps a little bit wood. Maybe I'd better searched for some better examples, but I guess these will do.


Prepare for some fun with these quirky glasses !
Think curious, funny, weird, quirk, ... There is something about these glasses that doesn't make them normal. The good thing about these glasses is that you can buy as many as you wish! They always look unique so you won't wear it as your daily basic glasses, every outfit needs other quirky glasses!
("Yeah, you wish.", says my wallet)

Perhaps you'll think now: "What the hell was all of that? I'll just stick to my basics." Well basics are definitely a good investment, they look good on everything and will be your loyal friend for years. Unless you're the type that ruins there glasses every summer. Then I advice you to take a look at H&M or New Look.
I never understood that, I still have all my sunnies from when I was 12!
Nevertheless, you can never go wrong with one of these, and they suit almost everyone.
