June

June, probably my least favourite period of the year.
There wasn't much going on this month. Or in other words, there was a lot going on this month but I had to skip it because of exams. -Yeah, yeah, I'll stop complaining about them!- But I'm afraid I can't show you very exiting things now. However I can show you a little impression of my month! Most days felt the same, so it were the little things that made it more special. Have a look!

 Painting my nails with the nail polish Ruby gave me for my birthday. I have to admit that I secretly had doubts about it in the beginning, but that's gone now! I love this colour! Thanks Ru!

And then of course this happens... 

I am seriously thinking about buying OPI Drip Dry now! Any experience?

Got a visitor this day. It's only the third time this year (and first time to capture!) that a bird came this close to my window, so yeah I was pretty excited. :)

Going out for diner with friends, spaghetti chez Katrijn! Great to wear heels again, it can give a confidence boost! Despite the state of these shoes I barely wear heels actually. (shoes New Look, old)

Time to go to bed! I love how cosy this looks when I turn off the main light and turn on my night light.

One word, five letters

 

This is how my world looks like currently. One word, five letters: S.T.U.D.Y. 

I have three more exams to go, (I know, it's not that much. But still it's enough! ) of wich the next one is tomorrow. And I am so going to die, there is way too little time! Yet I'm here making this post, silly girl.

What I'm trying to say is that I won't be uploading very much this month. Also having no internet connection is quite annoying, I hope that can be fixed soon.

 

While I'm on my lonely isolated isle again, now and then I get some nice encouraging texts. But sometimes the nice and encouraging part is hard to find, just like this one from my mum. Love you too zenne.

Daily uniform

Hi there! It's still Easter holidays over here. But exams are coming closer, and I talked a little bit too much about studying this holiday in advance, so my parents expect me to study non-stop. Well done, Siel. Luckily they're not very strict so I can escape now and then. And hey, I'm an adult, I've got my rights too!
This has sort of become my uniform lately. A four/five year old H&M winter (school) coat, my sister's huge scarf, a cuddly hat and oh, I'm forgetting the gloves! It looks like a midwinter outfit but it is definitely necessary cause the evenings are still very cold.
Besides studying, behind the window, absorbing the heat like a lizard and with sunglasses; I had the chance to do some rather fun stuff. Last Thursday I visited the Wiertzmuseum and the Watteau exposition in Brussels. Yes, we meet again Brussels. And today I was selling some old stuff at a flea market. Not a very large gain but surely a fun thing to do, and now I know what sells well, win!

This little fella was made for me yesterday, cute isn't it? A little seal for Siel that's actually a seel. And yes it's all pronounced the same way!

Oh and sorry if I'm writing a bit chaotically! It's funny actually how my writing style constantly varies of my mood. Now I'm definitely in a happy and talkative mood. :D

While strolling through my laptop I stumbled on a couple pictures from last month.
Procrastination is one of my hobbies during exam period and this is a perfect example. Looking at the details of these pictures I can see that they're from the 28th of January, the day before an exam I narrowly passed, 2h30 am. So rather the night before an exam. Yes, I am that horrible at studying. But hey, breaks are allowed too now and then!

It's almost over

January means finals, finals means studying, studying means study study study study. That is sort of my month summarized. I'm glad it's almost over, but I'm also a bit afraid of the result, since this is my last chance here, and I haven't got a particular good feeling. Anyway, just a few more days and then it'll be vacation! Now that's a thing I like!
I was wearing a true winter outfit. Totally snow proof. Also imagine a pair of white snow boots with a fur collar underneath. This period is mostly filled with pyjama-days, but I dress up for exams!
Also my camera's lens has some trouble focusing lately. I might have to take it to the shop for a check-up, but I'm glad that not all off the pictures are blurry.

And I got a beautiful butterfly in my mailbox last week. Not from a romantic secret lover sadly, but from my mum! I gave her an animal-crochet-book for Christmas and later she texted met she'd made a butterfly. I told her "Watch out or it will fly away", and she responded "Too late, it escaped." A couple days later I found this little guy in my mailbox. A greet way to wish someone good luck with her finals!

The Land of Papers

Hi peepz!
I'm aware of the fact that it's quit silent around here lately. That's because I moved over to the Land of Papers for a while. Luckily this hell is almost over, tomorrow is my last day here! But then it's time to pack my stuff and fly to the Land of Studying. Can you imagine that I'm looking forward to that?! Maybe that makes clear how horrible this Land of Papers is.

Here are some impressions of last December:

Welcome back mister leo coat. Since summer I was so looking forward to wearing this sweety again. It's the most cuddliest thing ever ! And perfect for strolling on the fair on a cold winter evening, when some of our ex-classmates from high school visited us here in Ghent. Minus three persons, our class was almost complete again! It felt like a little reunion. Such a pity that Ruby wasn't there also!

But what I will most remember of this month is:

Studying.

Reading.

Stress.

Writing.

Stress.

Deadlines.

Even more stress.

All those things have one advantage, just one. I'm becoming a pro in making things cozy! Every day the candles are burning (Gift tip for me! ;), blankets here and there and tea. Yes, I'm becoming a tea-drinker. Ruby will be surprised! But I'm still working on my tea skills, as you can see in the picture underneath.

I had a hard time choosing nail polish last week. They must be perfect for a concert I had the day after. On facebook some of you suggested the black one, but in the end I choose another one. The red/pink one became the chosen one. Because I was cold. And because it was a nice warm colour.
The concert went fine, and the other one yesterday also. One more to go now, Saturday!

Last Friday it was raining cats & dogs. And since my umbrella broke down earlier, and my hat got lost, I had no defence for the rain. So I decided to wear my only hooded coat: mister leopard.
As you can see in the picture, not a very smart idea. I kinda looked like a drowned cat.
But, my hair was still completely dry. Win!

Now I'm up for some Christmas shopping. Toodles !

August

I am still on my lonely island like I said in a few post before. Which means I'm isolated, far away from friends and family since the beginning of August. Of course it is for a higher purpose: studying for resits! Meanwhile there where plenty of distractions, with a temporary absence of my internet connection (bye social contact!) as the most irritating one. Here is a little photo diary of random things in this lonely month.
