Yes, I admit it, I'm hopelessly in love with this dress. I always loved off shoulder tops and wide, swirly skirts, and this dress has both! It makes me feel all girly and playful. My mum calls it my princess dress, and my sister is even worse by calling me a barbie doll who belongs in a window display. But I don't really mind as long as I (and the boyfriend) like it! ^^

I was never aware of the fact that I had such cartoon-like eyes until I saw this picture.
So I decided to draw some cartoon eyes on it.
See, hardly any difference.

50 shades of blue

Something I often forget, but is surely a fun thing to do is editing pictures! Just a little bit of photoshop gives an instant professional effect! Not that I'm a photoshopping pro, but a little change of lights often does the trick. Let me show you:

As you can see the picture has a warm, yellow light. Adding a subtle blue shade makes it look like a cool fashion editorial. Or like I love to think, like a murder/detective TV-series promo!

The colours look bright and fun, like a great afternoon (which it was). But I wanted something more professional. Like Vogue-editorial-professional!

The only thing I did in all these pics was adding a coloured (blue) filter. Amazing isn't it? The main reason is that I still haven't got photoshop on my laptop, only on the pc back home. And since I'm most of the time in my dorm room, I have to settle with Picasa. Which is by the way, an excellent free picture editing program if you ask me, the best I've had so far !

While strolling through my laptop I stumbled on a couple pictures from last month.
Procrastination is one of my hobbies during exam period and this is a perfect example. Looking at the details of these pictures I can see that they're from the 28th of January, the day before an exam I narrowly passed, 2h30 am. So rather the night before an exam. Yes, I am that horrible at studying. But hey, breaks are allowed too now and then!

Experimenting

I was just experimenting with some pictures lately, and the result turn out quit good! But that's my humble opinion of course :)

Playing around with make up

Promise inspired me once more to play around with make-up. I tried shaping this time! I definitely need more practice but I was just testing some effects actually. And I need something nice to shape too. Here I used brow powder, because of the simple reason that it's matte. But it's hard to blend though! And next time it will be an eye pencil to redefine the eyelid instead of a liquid eyeliner. Anyway I had fun :) and I think I do look different in the first pics, mission accomplished !

See how I draw extra lashes on my eyelid! :p The line above should have been smudged but I was too lazy again. Further it's shaping, shaping and shaping! Now I just have to find something that blends better. Perhaps eye shadow or bronzer? It has to be matte...

Meet my BFF

My laptop is my best friend. (Sorry Ruby!) He is my most loyal buddie and knows all about me. We share several occasions and memories and sometimes he is my memory. He has several nicknames too (not only given by me!) like little apple - appeltje, lappy, little book - boekje. Oh yes, he's my favourite. And thanks to my lappy, I can show you some of the moments from last month.

Here I was having a break from studying. Like always during the studying period my hair annoyed me so I made a quick African style hairdo. Though I think it are the earrings that make it African-style. I started playing around with some make up. Starting with a green eyeshadow palette (Catrice Revoltaire LE) and adding some eye liner. The blush and highliter followed quickly.
Then I tried something I never ever do: eye liner and mascara under the eye. Very unflattering for me.
And still I couldn't stop. The eye liner blinked at me and I added some more liner and a white pencil on my waterline to create really big eyes. That didn't turned out as heavy as I thought so it needed a little bit help at last :)

Life is unfair, definitely.

Every time my hair starts getting greasy and I am planning to wash it immediately the next morning, it is: hello perfecthairday! Veeeerry annoying!
I think I was about five minutes awake here. I mean, come on! Why doesn't this happens on a school day or so? Instead of a random studyday morning, and I'm about to wash!

Here I was enjoying sunshine for the first time in my room, a very special moment. I always assumed my window was in the North cause I never ever saw the sun shining through the glass. Turned out that I was wrong. In summer, around 10 PM, I have 1 metre of sunshine, on my wall, yay !

Just a random day

I don't really have the time to answer reactions etc. lately, but I do like to post some little things :)
